Sarah Kendzior has been correct on Trump before his gaining power in 2016. She is the Cassandra of our time. With her tweets today, her dismay at this outcome is palpable. This is what she predicted.

No, it sucks to be right. I want justice, people's suffering to end, freedom and rights for all, and for the American public to quit getting played like a bunch of passive suckers. Maybe after this latest fiasco I'll finally get that last one.

I'm re-upping old tweets not in an "I told you so" way, but because I'm tired of repeating myself, and I also need you to see that autocracy is predictable. Don't look for saviors: think for yourselves. Independent thought + ability to speak freely is nothing to take for granted.
